Process service in Jefferson County

Jefferson County is inside our service area. A standard serve is $89 per party, with the first attempt within 3 business days and four attempts over ten days. Rush is $149, and same day is $219 when the order and documents reach us by 11:00 am.

ZIP codes that cross county lines

Jefferson shares more boundaries than any other county we serve. 80212, 80214, 80227 and 80235 are in Jefferson and Denver. 80123 covers parts of Jefferson, Denver and Arapahoe. 80020 and 80021 extend into Broomfield and Adams. 80403 extends into Boulder and Gilpin, and 80439 into Clear Creek. Gilpin and Clear Creek are outside our service area.

An address in Lakewood or Wheat Ridge within a block of Sheridan Boulevard can be in either Denver or Jefferson. The order form asks you to confirm the county, and the county you confirm always takes priority over our lookup, so the proof names the correct county.

Foothills addresses

Evergreen, Conifer, Idledale, Kittredge and the canyon roads are in the county and are priced at the metro rate. Snow, gravel roads and long driveways add time to each attempt, and a winter storm can close a canyon entirely.

If access looks like a problem, we will tell you before the first attempt rather than make attempts that could not succeed.

Golden and the courthouse

The Jefferson County courts are in Golden, so a serve and a court run in the same area can often be handled on one trip. If you need both, include them in the same order instructions and we will price the run as one visit.

Legal questions

We are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice. Questions about which court to use, which deadline applies, or whether service was sufficient should go to an attorney or the court’s self-help staff.
